Seed of Complex Heritage

In this section you will find seeds of edible plants that transmit stories of cultural resistance. Some of these seeds are linked to a complex or difficult heritage - such as colonialism. Others are connected to narratives of migrations and the empowerment of marginalized communities. The Critical Seed Library encourages the cultivation of these plants as an act of resistance that reveals hidden stories, spreads awareness and encourages new actions– such as changing problematic names of plants and stimulating discussions.
